Dunnottar Castle

So this picture was taken back in 2004 when i first got to Scotland. I was in Aberdeen visiting friends and they took me to see this castle. I loved it out there, although windy it was just spectacular on the view front. You can see on the Loch just how windy it was, although technically the Strait as opposed to the Loch, but whatever.

Dunnottar Castle is situated just outside a small town called Stonehave. The best way to get there (i've done all three) is to either take a bus/car whatever to Stonehaven and then walk up the costal trail. It's a wee bit of a hike and you have to walk over some strange obsticals but it's stunning and well worth it.

On this trip, we drove up and approached the castle from across the field, as you can see.

I had to take this shot just because all the blues in the sky and the waves on the sea were stunning when set against a ruined castle and freshly mown hay feild. I just loved the pattern in the field.
